With the weather forecast calling for sever thunderstorms and possibly a tornado it looked like Wintre and Terah's wedding was going to be a wet one. But The Lord held off long enough for everyone to have a great time and stay dry - that is until it was time to leave. That's when it started to pour really bad. I felt sorry for the valet parking people. I hope they got tipped well.

Indira & Brent

The best part of being wedding filmmakers is that we get to meet and work with some of the nicest people. Susanne and I had the pleasure of filming the wedding of Indira and Brent and got to meet many of their friends and relatives. It's always great to work with couples who have such a strong family bond.

Saturday was a unique day for us. Not only did we film the wedding, but we also provided the DJ services. We are proud to say that we had a crowd on the dance floor all day.

And on a technical note, Saturday was our first shoot with our brand new Blackmagic Design Cinema Cameras. We used three of them to capture the wedding from different perspectives. We hope you will enjoy the improved image quality over other filmmakers who use DSLR's. The detail in the images is incredible.

Suzanne and Patrick couldn't have asked for a better day and I couldn't have asked for a nicer gathering of people to work with. Both families, and the bridal party, were a dream to film. It really makes my job easier when everyone is in a great mood and gets along. I had the pleasure of filming two previous weddings from this party over the last couple of years, and we're filming another friend's wedding next August. We can't wait.

Jaime & Alex had a great wedding and we couldn't have asked for better weather in the middle of January. They have a 3 year old little girl, who is featured in the video, and she really brightened up the day. I didn't hear her complain once.

I'd like to give a HUGE shoutout to the hair stylist, Jill Kozar, whose company is Up Your Do. As you can see in the video she does absolutely gorgeous work. But what you don't see in the video is that she works efficiently and kept the bridal party on time. Since I am creating a video to show at the reception if the hair stylist runs late it cuts unto my editing time. I encourage all future brides to give her a call.

There is something special about doing the wedding film for another wedding professional. I just knew it would be a great day. Ariella owns A Breath of Fresh Hair, which is one the of the area's best and fastest growing on-site wedding hair specialists.

And being in the wedding industry she chose to work with some of her favorite professionals. Bill Hock has been filming weddings for 9 years and was great to work with.

PHiladelphia Wedding Video at Presidential Caterers

You can't ask for a more beautiful wedding day than the one that Jenna and Michael had. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and everything went according to plan.

The reception was held at the luxurious Presidential Caterers in Norristown, PA.

The reception was extended an hour and this meant more work for the DJ. But not when your DJ is Dave Schaffer from Schaffer Sound. While many DJ's can sometime struggle keeping people dancing for an hour or more, Dave kept the dance floor packed for three and a half hours. I don't know how he does it.

Delivering All In Digital

Times are changing. It's important that we change with them.

When I was a kid I remember getting our first VCR. The first movie we recorded was Rocky II off of HBO. Then along came the DVD, and eventually the Blu-Ray disc. From talking to couples I believe the adaption of Blu-Ray discs is extremely slow and is going to be surpassed by streaming media devices.

The reason I say this is because we all own streaming media devices already, but we just don't think of it that way. Your cable box is a streaming media device. Your cell phone is. Your XBOX, Wii and Playstation 3 all have the ability to play video files over the internet. I have an Apple TV in my home and I haven't inserted a DVD in a player in years. All my favorite movies and TV shows are available at the touch of a button. Even when I am away from home I can watch them on my iPhone and iPad.

I believe that creating DVDs and Blu-Ray discs adds lots of unnecessary time to our post production. So I will now be delivering all our weddings using digital streaming media files. Your files will be delivered on a flash drive. There will not be a change in price. Although the flash drives are more expensive than the materials for the DVDs, they will save me a lot of time so our delivery times will be faster. Digital files are also much easier to share, upload and archive.

Of course, if anybody still would like the DVDs and Blu-Ray we will create them upon request.
